2005 BMW R Series

This used BMW R 1200 GS, also known as the BMW R1200GS, R1200 GS, GS or Beemer GS, is a German motorcycle and European adventure bike built for long-distance touring, weekend rides, commuting and off-road exploring. The dual-purpose R Series adventure motorcycle has a 1,170 cc two-cylinder petrol engine producing 74 kW, a six-speed manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive and seating for two. This dark metallic blue and silver BMW adventure bike has hard panniers, a rear luggage rack, tall windscreen, handguards, crash bars, auxiliary spotlights, heated grips, spoked wheels and knobby off-road tyres, making it suited to camping, touring and gravel-road travel. The 20-litre fuel tank supports extended rides. Photo-observed wear includes scuffed panniers, surface rust on the exhaust and corrosion on several fasteners, while the black seat is intact. It is available at the Richmond Branch in Cape Town, Western Cape.
